Hopeful Ponderings

A hero much more than he who saved the day

Is the modest old croaker who savors it,

Just as the one who is most pleased in life

Is aware of the something that flavors it.

Same as to those who seek knowledge in life

Their time is more game than a test,

Those on the journey who go all the way

Are they who enjoy it the best.

Not worth a dime or an eyelash it is

On whose this and that are the shabbiest.

People no more or no less than themselves

Are most often known as the happiest.
