With a current record of 7-2, The Freehold Boro Girls Varsity Volleyball team proves to be indomitable in the Shore Conference this year.

The 2021-22 Fall Season starts off strong for the team, with a starting lineup of Outside hitters Sofia Hor, Audrey Sousa, and Setter Juliana Esteban, Middle blockers Favor Adebanjo, Lexi Ranau

do and Victoria Manrique, Opposite hitter Jillian Butch, and Libero Jada Lao.

At their match on Friday, October 1st, the girls defeated Colts Neck High School, a team with a previous record of 6-0 who beat some of the top schools in the division, such as Red Bank Catholic and Marlboro High School . Senior Julianna Esteban, had a total of 16 assists and Sophomore Audrey Sousa had 11 kills. On Monday they competed against Howell High School and scored another victory, with Senior Jada Lao’s 7 digs and Junior Sofia Hor’s 5 service points. 

Aside from having a winning streak, the team also does fundraisers through both clothing sales and the annual mid-season “Serve-a-thon”, in which Junior Jillian Butch had over 40 serves in under 2 minutes. 

This week, the team competes at Long Branch, Middletown South, Marlboro, and Point Pleasant Beach High School. Go Colonials!!
