Returning to Normal?
It has been roughly a month since we all returned to school. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, things have changed this past year; masks are mandatory during classes and desks and chairs must be wiped down before class. These rules reveal that although we are transitioning back to normal routines, there are still precautions needed to be taken in order to decrease the exposure of the virus.
It is not just schools that are helping out; for example, all employees are required to wear a face mask and social distance at work. If one thinks they may have any symptoms, it is strongly encouraged that they stay home to prevent further spread. These are some actions people are taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
However, there are many things you can do to help prevent the spread such as avoiding large crowds, washing your hands for 20 seconds after touching your face, and, most importantly, taking the vaccine as it can drastically reduce the chance of COVID cases. If we all work together, we will be able to return back to normal and continue life as it was before the pandemic.
