The Brothers Grim Spectaculathon
On December 3rd and 4th, the FHS Dramatic Arts Club (DAC) presented their 2021 show, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. The comedic play was created by playwright Don Zolidis and features two narrators attempting to retell all 209 (classic and bizarre) fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm within 100-110 minutes. My sister and I had the pleasure of attending Saturday’s 2PM performance, and the cast and crew have worked hard to give us a most certainly spectacular performance. Slay!
I had the pleasure of interviewing one of the DAC seniors:
Q: How was your experience in this year’s play?
Josh CM: This year’s play was wonderful; though, it was a little strange being in-person after two years of not having a full in-person drama season. It was great to be back! The underclassmen this year are fantastic– they’re all so much fun and provide a new, energetic vibe to the group. I enjoyed every moment of forming new connections with various people in the club.
Q: What would you say was your favorite part of the show?
JCM: My favorite part was definitely being able to form new connections. I’m a very open person, so I enjoy being able to create new bonds with new people. Drama kids are a very tight-knit group of people; we’re all very close to each other. There’s no hate between us– we all get along very well. I loved seeing how close everyone was. This year, specifically, everyone was more together and got along so easily. Compared to other years, this year had a much more open, energetic, positive vibe. The people in drama made me want to go to drama so much more. I love the group! Each member has brought something different and special to the club, making it even better.
