5 Fun Activities to Welcome in Fall!

Fall is finally here! It is starting to cool down outside and we’re back to school. There are leaves on the trees and you can smell the change in the air. To help welcome this season, here are 5 things you can do to stay in the fall spirit.

1) Pumpkin Picking

Pumpkin picking is a great daytime activity to do with your friends or family. There are so many pumpkin patches that have just more that pumpkin picking; there are corn mazes and hay rides as well. It’s a great way to spend some time outside and even take home some pumpkins to decorate for the season.

2) Carving pumpkins

After you go pumpkin picking, you can take the pumpkins you picked out and carve them! There are so many designs that you can carve onto your pumpkin. This activity is great for your creativity and you can showcase them outside your house for everyone to see.

3) Have a Halloween movie marathon

With fall comes Halloween, and with Halloween comes holiday movies! There are so many nostalgic movies that you, your friends, and your family can watch together in a huge marathon. Must-sees like ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ and ‘Hocus Pocus’ are a great way to start off the spooky season.

4) Apple Picking

Apple picking, just like pumpkin picking, is also another thing to do to welcome in fall. There are so many different kinds of apples to choose from when you go to the orchard, and there is a kind of apple for everyone to enjoy! So many apple orchards also have stores where you can enjoy tasty treats and apple cider! Apple picking is one of my all-time favorite fall activities, and I love being able pick out my own apples.

5) Bake a festive treat

With fall comes so many fall desserts and sweets that you can make yourself. There are so many websites you can resort to with recipes you can bring into your own home. Even if you are not that talented in the kitchen, there is always something for everyone to make and enjoy.

Happy Fall, everyone!
