Enchanted Forest
An enchanted forest
turned three years sour
Plagued with darkness,
infected with hurt
No sun shines through its barren trees
No cries escape the mouths of the haunted
Could its floors become luscious again?
Could its trees part ways in an evergreen smile?
Could its winds whisper tunes?
Or is it forever cursed to spend all eternity
lusting after what it never quite had,
but always desired
