Friendships are tough
Family is tough
That’s because life is tough
The word tough is considered a bad thing,but that isn’t always the case
Our flaws make us unique
Our bad experiences teach us how to grow
Our pain allows us to feel
Our tears allow us to see the happiness on the other side
What is tough in life allows us to see the good
Embrace the tough to get to the good

Sophia is a senior at Freehold High School. This is her second year writing for The Colonial. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and enjoys listening to music and reading. She is part of various other clubs and enjoys volunteering as well. She is unsure of what she wants to do after high school, but she can’t wait for the next chapter!
