Both are incredible forces on their own, but together they are unstoppable. It all started when Kelce saw Swift perform at The Era’s Tour over the summer. Kelce appeared on a podcast with his brother where he admitted to having a crush on Swift after attending her concert. Matters only escalated when Swift was spotted attending a Kansas City Football game, the team Kelce plays for, a few weeks ago. Swift was sitting with Kelce’s mom in one of the boxes. Swift and Kelce were later seen leaving the game together. Some might say “alright, so what? It’s just two celebrities dating each other.” But to Swifites, the name of Swift’s fanbase, this is much more than that.
After Swift’s recent split with her long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn, all fans wanted for her was to be happy. Kelce seems to be doing just that, claiming that Swift is “the greatest catch of his life” and has him “feeling more on top of the world than winning the Super Bowl”. Clearly, he values her and appears to be treating her right so far. Furthermore, there are several coincidences that have Swifties believing this relationship is nothing short of fate. For starters, Swift’s lucky number is 13 and Kelce would be her 13th boyfriend. Secondly, when Kelce scores a touchdown he pretends to shoot a bow and arrow, the same move Swift does during her song The Archer. Both Kelce and Swift did this move before ever knowing each other. And to seal the deal further Swift has a lyric saying “in an arrowhead leading us home” which is also the name of the stadium where they both watched each other play. Moreover, Kelce has the same birthday as Swift’s late grandmother, leading some fans to believe Kelce is a gift from Swift’s grandmother for the singer. Lastly, when Swift was fifteen, she released Mary’s Song on her debut album. The song contains a lyric discussing a couple growing old together where Swift says, “I’ll be 87 you’ll be 89”. Ironically Kelce’s jersey number is 87, hence why Swift would be 87 to represent him, and Swift has an album titled 1989 which Kelce recently wore clothes representing. That being said, it has been hard for Swifties to think about anything other than this couple. Also, how could you not root for them after the way Kelce looked up at Swift with nothing but love in his eyes during one of his games?
Not only does the couple appear to be a match made in heaven, but Swift made sales for Kelce skyrocket. His jersey went up 400% in sales and tickets for the Chiefs game sold more in a day than they did all seasons after Swift was spotted there. It seems as though no one can stop these two. They are making impact after impact. I truly believe that Kelce could be the one for Swift, and I think hearts all over the world will be broken if he’s not. All Swifties want is for Taylor to be happy and if that happiness comes from Kelce then so be it. We’re on board.
