With the NJGPA behind us, now is a great time to figure out what study methods actually work. Active recall—quizzing yourself instead of just rereading notes—helps you remember information better. Spaced repetition, or reviewing material over time instead of cramming, also makes a big difference. Flashcards, practice tests, and even teaching the material to a friend can help reinforce what you’ve learned.
If you struggle to focus, try the Pomodoro Technique: study for 25 minutes, then take a five-minute break. Find a quiet spot, put your phone on Do Not Disturb, and rewrite notes in your own words to understand them better. Most importantly, don’t wait until the last minute—studying a little each day can save you a lot of stress before the next big test.
